MaxMart, the Ghanaian supermarket chain, has opened a new neighbourhood store in the upmarket Dzorwulu area of Accra. The new store, which is called MaxMart Express, is open seven days a week. It is smaller than other MaxMart stores and carries a more limited range of products. It will, however, carry imported products from UK supermarket retailer Waitrose, like the larger stores.
The new store opening brings the MaxMart store network to five – the flagship store in the 37 district of Accra, as well as stores in East Legon, Tema and Kumasi.
