The first hypermarket in Guinea, RS Marché, has opened in Conakry.

The 2000m² outlet occupies the main spot in the Prima Center shopping mall, which was inaugurated late last year. RS Marché is owned by the RS Groupe, which currently has the exclusive distribution of several FMCG product brands in Guinee.

Citydia, which has 4 stores in Guinea through local retail CAP Inter, tried to secure the spot in negotiations during the mall’s construction. Negotiations progressed sufficiently that in early 2015, Citydia announced publicly that it would open a hypermarket in the Prima Center.
