According to Trendtype’s Retail Database Tracker, this is Khetia’s Supermarket’s 13th store in Kenya and its fourth in the the city of Bungoma. Currently, the new Khetia’s Bungoma adds to the retailer’s stores in Eldoret, Kisumo, Kitale, Busia, Trans Nzoia, and Mumias.

Khetia’s director Ashok Khetia was present in the opening of the new store and said that the retailer plans on adding to the expansion in the coming months should the business deliver on expectations. The Bungoma outlet represented an investment of Sh150 million ($1.48 million) and as already employed 90 Bungoma residents.
