Zambeef has opened a new outlet in Zambia, in the northern city of Kasama. The new outlet integrates several of the group’s brands and aims at creating a one-stop shop solution for the region.

Zambian food processing and retailer company Zambeef opened a new outlet in the northern city of Kasama. The new Kasama Macro Outlet will feature the group’s traditional butchers which will retail beef, chicken, pork, milk and dairy products. Additionally, the store will include a Zamhatch, a Novatek and a Zamshu, effectively creating a one-stop-shop for customers.

This is the group’s ninth macro outlet and was designed to comply with the latest international standards in terms of food safety and hygiene, infrastructure and environment. The opening of the store was praised by local authorities. Province Minister Brian Mundubile urged companies to create a readily available retail market for local products and farmers.

Although mainly concerned with food processing and supplying big retail chains with meat products, Zambeef is currently Zambia’s largest integrated retailing and wholesaling brand. Furthermore, the company has announced plans to invest in the increase of its retail footprint nationally and abroad. According to Trendtype’s Retail Database Tracker, Zambeef currently has 89 outlets across Zambia and West Africa, with running operations in Nigeria and Ghana. In both countries, Zambeef operates food processing and retail outlets through its subsidiary Master Meats Ltd. In Zambia, apart from supplying four new Shoprite stores opening until the end of the year, Zambeef is expected to open a further eight macro outlets.
