Al-Futtaim

UAE-based Al-Futtaim Retail has opened its first Homeworks store in its Cairo Festival City shopping mall, bringing the brand to Egypt for the first time. Homeworks aims to offer a wide range of multinational DIY, home improvement, outdoor living and homewares brands all under one roof to provide a central location for customers to find everything they need for their homes. Large Homeworks stores typically carry around 15,000 products lines.

Al-Futtaim has previously launched Homeworks in Saudi Arabia. The company is also the franchise holder for IKEA, operating stores in Egypt, Oman, Qatar and the UAE and the franchise holder for Marks & Spencer in Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysis, Oman, Qatar, Singapore and the UAE.

Within its Homeworks stores, Al-Futtaim is pioneering what it calls its ‘dedicated hubs’, where experts can advise and assist customers and give them the opportunity to experience the products before buying them.
