The Al Gamil group has officially opened its first hypermarket in Djibouti. The new store, in the Gabode area of Djibouti City, is 800m away from one of two Casino supermarkets in the city. The new store, which operates under the banner Al Gamil, is targeted at expatriates and wealthy Djiboutians and has a sales area of 14,300m². It is the group’s second grocery store in Djibouti.
The Al Gamil group is the largest construction company in Djibouti. It is also a major importer of electrical and automotive equipment, primarily from Asia. It also imports and distributes FMCG products.
