French grocery chain Auchan has launched new stores in Senegal and Mauritania with little fanfare. The new stores will bear Auchan’s ATAC banner.
In Nouakchott, Auchan has partnered with a group Mauritanian investors. It opened a 1,500m² store in early May 2015 and has plans to open 20 stores across the country within five years.
In Dakar, Auchan has entered on its own and plans to open 3 stores.
